Over the past 18 days, the government seems to have failed
in reciprocating wisely to protests as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif gave a disputed statement targeting
the army. On August 30, protestors in
Islamabad were charged-over with tear-gas and rubber bullets, consequently killing
3 citizens and injuring over 400. This indicated that the government
tenaciously played with innocent lives to protect itself. With this apparent
failure of his governance, it has now become a moral obligation for Prime Minister and his cabinet to give their offices up.
